Evaluation of our presentation for the Aviva company
Personally, I think I could of done much better, I didn't speak as much as I could of because my nerves got the better of me, making me collapse when the time came to present. Although in my mind I knew I could do it, but if I would of had a practice before hand, and with a few less people in front of me, because going from about 8 people to over 30 is a bit of a big jump for me, I'm not used to speaking to big crowds, but with more practice, slowly I will improve. But I hope that next time I will be better prepared, on the other hand, even though I was terrified I still forced myself to speak a little, but one of our team members, kept speaking for me, which put me off, but hopefully I will be better next time, more practice will help me. But overall, as a group, I think we did well, we pushed through our technical problems, the computer locked itself, and none of us are confident speakers, but we still forced oursevles to do it, so in some ways I am proud, but in other ways, I wish we pushed ourselves a bit harder. So next time we have to do this, I will make sure we practice and have a better chance of getting this right.

Evaluation
Our group as a whole, didn’t work out in
the beginning due to major idea differences, but we spilt into a smaller group
and from there on in, we made very good progress, apart from a few small
problems, like we didn’t understand how to make our end idea work, but we
tweaked it and make it work, but our end idea also worked very well for us, we
had a good idea to back it up with, we made a video that worked and we had good
character and story ideas, but our greatest strength was our team work, we
pulled everything together even when we spilt up we pulled together and got it
all done.
Game back story
Game story
One sunny afternoon, Baron Jingleton and
Lady Savingtons are going on a walk to the bank to go save some coins they got
to get a car to go on a trip together. But the Evil Count Poundula spots them
from his castle window and sees they are on another saving spree and is jealous
because he just can’t save, so he creates a plan to kidnap Lady Savingtons to
drain her saving abilities and use them for himself to make him the best saver
in the world. He quickly pulls out the lake drainer from his ‘failed evil
plans’ cupboard and begins to tweak it with speed and precision and soon has it
working as a skill drainer and sets off to go steal Lady Savingtons. He flies
out of his living room window towards the unsuspecting couple and just as they
are about to enter the bank but he suddenly grabs the Lady and carries her off
back to his hidden super top secret dungeon in the cave which has a sign saying
‘super top secret hidden dungeon this way’ and locks her away in a vortex
controlled by the draining device. But to the Count’s dismay, the draining
device has very little power so it will take a very long time to get even a
little of her skill. But the poor lonely Baron is left to go save his Lady and
restore the saving balance to the world. But to make sure the Baron doesn’t get
to her, the Count uses his ‘evil ray’ to make everything evil and on his side
just to keep him away.
Baron Jingleton’s attacks-
Coin cannon- shoots a giant coin that rolls
along the screen trampling everything
Saving lascannon- shoots a rainbow laser of
saving power, which fries everything that is in its path
Golden blast- shoots a ball of pure golden
bubble that explodes when it comes into contact with enemies
Spin attack- spin yourself into enemies
Jump attack- jump on top of enemies
Ground slam- Jump and crush enemies
You gain a life with every 100 coins, you
start with 5 and every time you loose all your lives and have to restart the
game you loose 150 coins of your savings.
World one- (Needs the amount of coins you
start with 50) World one is based in sunny little town with a lot trees and
colourful buildings, the main enemies are buildings and trees that have come to
life, biting dogs and elderly coins with purses spinning like a spinning top.
There a ten levels to each world with a boss at the end, the main boss to world
one is a huge eight eyed building, with sharp teeth and a spiky ‘drain pipe’
tail that shoots bricks and furniture at you, called Brickzilla with a
substantial amount of health.
World two- (requires a total of 150 saved
coins) World two is a big city with black smoke clouds that drain your health
and make your attacks weaker, chimneys shoot fireballs, and there are cannibal
cars and street cleaners too, the main boss at the end of this level is a snake
like chimney that sends out shock waves, fire walls and fire bombs that explode
into smaller ones after the initial explosion, its health is also high, it is
called Flamecrawler.
World three- (requires a total of 400 saved
coins) World three is a jungle like series of fields, each field gets more and
more overgrown, the grass traps and squeezes you draining your health,
poisonous plants bite and inject venom slowly draining your health for a
certain amount of time, trees also fall and the apples are actually bat type
creatures that fly at you and attack you, the main boss for this is a huge
apple bat that sends out swarms of smaller ones, falling trees and shoots
leaves from its mouth, with a high amount of health, it is called Applesnapper.
World four-
(requires a total of 650 saved coins) World four is in a huge river,
which you have to swim through to get to the other side (obviously) the enemies
are big pike like fish surrounded by smaller ones that first attack you, then
the adult attacks you for destroying its babies, the weeds are like the grass
but they slash at you instead of grabbing, crabs come out from under the mud
and snap at you, the main boss is a giant pike fish named Watersnipper, who
shoots jets of high propelled bubbles, waves of waters and spins with its tail
to hit you and keep you away, it also has a high amount of health.
World Five- (requires a total of 850 save
coins) World five is a dusty deserted road splattered with bones and
shrivelling cacti, leading up to the final world, the main enemies are ‘cuter’
cattle skeletons, seemingly dead cacti, but they suddenly absorb water, come to
life, and shoot their spikes at you, along with blue scorpions that chase you
until you destroy them, they may even form groups if you don’t run, the main
boss is a giant black and red scorpion with three stingers to its tail, it
attacks by spraying poison with its tail, it also slams it three spikes at
different times like pillars and it also swipes it claws at you, its name is
Duskjaw, with a much higher amount of health.
World six- (requires a total of £1000 saved
coins and a key which is received after defeating Duskjaw, who was the key’s
keeper and also the Count’s right hand man) The final world, you have to travel
into the cave to find the dungeon and destroy the machine, saving Lady
Savingtons, the cave is barely lit, but you can create more light by throwing
coins at dying trees to ignite them with the sparks, but the main enemies are
missile launchers hidden in the walls by the Count, with rock slides created by
the Count, along with dinosaurs made of rocks and cyber mountain lions, the
main boss is obviously Count Poundula, his main attacks are shadow pulses,
darkness spikes that shoot at you from the floor and walls, along with thunder
clouds that electrocute and paralyze you for 5 seconds. He has the highest
amount of health in the game.
In the end, Baron Jingleton’s determination
and saving power saved his Lady and defeated the Count once again, so the peace
was restored and everyone went back to normal lives, once again saving was a
safe thing to do. But in his broken dungeon with his smashed machine without
the ability to save, the Count wondered if maybe he could just ask for help, or
maybe even try it for himself, no that was a cowards way out, he was not going
to stop until he was better than everyone and settle this rivalry, so he sat in
the dark planning his next devious plan.
